Bill Scherer and his
wife Shelly have lived in Riverside since 1998. They have two boys, Lincoln and Caleb, who are ten and seven, respectively.
A bit of a renaissance man, Bill is the Feature Writer for Boxing at Suite101.com (he writes about
economics occasionally too) a rides mechanic at a local amusement park, a voracious reader, and a musician of dubious accomplishment.
Bill believes that all people are, as written in the Declaration of Independence, "endowed
by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness." Made
in the image of God, as we are, Bill understands that we are capable of tremendous accomplishment, liberty is in our hearts,
and the good of others should be our goal. The simple principles our Founding Fathers laid out for us are being trampled underfoot
by politicians at all levels. Betrayed by their actions, they do not believe in limited government and accountability to our
citizens. Bill does.
